Description

Community-led BT5K - Dan’s Fight is our Fight - Walk/Run Fundraiser

On May 28, 2022, my brother-in-law, Dan Grzybek, lost his battle with Glioblastoma (GBM). He was 46 and left behind an amazing wife and three beautiful young children. Dan was an active and healthy man. His death at such a young age left a big void in many lives.

Glioblastoma affects approximately 13,000 to 15,000 people each year in the U.S. GBM is the most aggressive type of tumor that occurs in the brain and is one of the most lethal forms of brain cancer. This rare form of cancer does not have as much research funding as others.

Brain tumors are relentless. There is no prevention, early detection, and few treatments. And for brain cancer, there is no cure.

We will be raising funds for the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA). Please help us with our fundraising efforts by sponsoring to help find a cure or treatment for this devastating illness and brain cancer so no more families suffer this fate.

You may walk/run as an individual, create a team, or join a team.

Adult registration - $25
High School Student Registration - $15
Children under 13 participate for FREE
Brain tumor survivors participate for FREE

Online registration closes on 9/15/23 at noon. Onsite registration is available on the day of the event.

We are excited to announce that we will wrap up the event with music from Courtesy Patrol.
