Description

Join us for another beautiful and challenging trail race at Camp Crooked Creek Scout Reservation in the middle of Bourbon Country. If the wind is correct, you'll smell the sweet aroma of mash from the major distillery just a few miles away.

This challenging 12.7-mile loop featuring over 2,000 feet of elevation gain per loop will meander through 1,000 acres of rolling hills covered with a hardwood forest of oak, hickory, and beech trees, spectacular natural views, and abundant wildlife. Runners will also enjoy a few miles along the amazing 70-acre John Barr Lake in the heart of the start-finish line and runner's village. This well-maintained and legendary trail is only available to the general public to run during the Crooked Creek event.

With options of 100 miles (32-hour cutoff,) 50 miles (16-hour cutoff), marathon, and 1/2 marathon distances, this event has a challenge waiting for any runner!

The Start/Finish line will offer a vast area for runners to spread out their support tents, and runners taking the 100-mile and 50-mile challenge will enjoy a one-of-a-kind "Pit Road" experience that will allow your team access to you at the start-finish line and again just three miles into each loop. As a bonus, heated shower houses will be available for runners to freshen up after conquering the "Crooked Creek Crusher" course.

The Crooked Creek Ultra course is 15 minutes from the Louisville International Airport, just off Interstate 65 in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. It is an excellent option for runners looking to mark a Kentucky event off their list and possibly hit a few bourbon tours while in town.

Multiple lodging options are available within 10 minutes of the camp, and (unheated cabins) will be available for a small fee while they last at Camp Crooked Creek. Primitive camping options, with access to heated bathrooms and the shower house, will also be available.

***Active Duty Military*** receives a 15% discount on registration. Please email us for the code at info@ckracemanagement.com

About the Lincoln Heritage Council, Boy Scouts of America

The Lincoln Heritage Council is one of the oldest local Councils serving both urban and rural areas in the United States. Their first charter was granted under the name “Louisville Council” in 1916. In 1930, the Council was extended to 22 counties and became known as the “Louisville Area Council”.  Later they applied for and received permission to change the name of the Council to “Old Kentucky Home Council”, which remained the name until 1992. In 1992, the George Rogers Clark Area Council, based out of New Albany, Indiana, chose to join efforts with their neighbor, the Old Kentucky Home Council. The councils merged, and on January 1, 1993, the Lincoln Heritage Council officially came to be.
On April 1, 2012, the Lincoln Heritage Council welcomed 39 counties in western Kentucky, Illinois, and Tennessee formally served by the Shawnee Trails Council. The territory became the Western Service Area in the Lincoln Heritage Council.
The Council has thirteen geographical districts and four service areas. The Lincoln Heritage Council #205 is composed of 64 counties in Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, and Tennessee.
