Registration  opens 11-1-2022 and will be limited to 600 soldiers and athletes.

The 18.6 mile run will take place in conjunction with the Norwegian Foot March on 3-4-23 at  Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center in Hattiesburg, MS. This is not an easy race course to conquer but with sheer determination our soldiers and runners will succeed and cross the finish line.

Norwegian Foot March and Extra Miles Marathon … a lifetime accomplishment

 Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center in Hattiesburg, will have  bring the third Annual Norwegian Foot March fully sanctioned by the King of Norway to Mississippi and an 18.6 mile run.
 
THE NORWEGIAN FOOT MARCH – a badge for soldiers
In the military, there are coveted foreign badges that a soldier can EARN. These badges are both an honor and bragging right, as well as display rank. On March 4, 2023, soldiers from all over the world will be convening at Camp Shelby in hopes to earn the Norwegian Foot March badge. After months of training, this daunting task will humble and break some soldiers while others are able to rise amidst the most intense of challenges. Soldiers are asked to ruck 18.6 miles in an allotted amount of time, according to age and gender, while wearing full uniform and carrying 25 pounds in their ruck.

In the world of runners, there are medals of prestige that a runner can EARN. These medals signify an extraordinary accomplishment and are the bragging right of the runner. On March 4, 2023, runners from all over the south will be convening at Camp Shelby in hopes to earn the Norwegian Foot March medal. After months of training, this daunting race will humble and break some runners while others are able to rise amidst the most intense running course. Runners are asked to run alongside soldiers from every branch of the military and special forces for 18.6 miles ultimately crossing the finish line.
 
 But we believe you have what it takes to EARN YOUR MEDAL, the heart and soul of a soldier!
