Can you walk or run 3.1 miles over the course of a weeks time? Of course you can!
What Do I Need to do?
Don't worry if you can't run or walk 3.1 miles all at once. You may complete all three miles at one time or break up the miles to fit your fitness level.
You will complete your 3.1 miles on your own time and when it's convenient for you. It must be completed by the end of the week in order to receive your prize. You can complete the challenge anywhere and anytime that is convenient for you. Feel free to complete your mileage on a track, in your neighborhood or even on a treadmill!
In order to keep you accountable, you must take a screen shot of your completed miles and post them onto our facebook community when you are finished. Also, using a running app such as mapmyrun, strava or similar will help you to keep track of your weekly distances.
Besides a stronger and more healthy body? :-) Each week that you register, complete your mileage and post your finisher photo on our facebook group you will win a freebie that you will pick up from a small business located in Lancaster County. We will change up the prizes every week, so be sure to register each week and keep checking in on our facebook page to see what we are giving away this week!
As much as I love running with my kiddos, the prizes are only available to participants 21 and older. Also, because the prizes must be picked up in Lancaster County, we ask only people who are local to Lancaster or the surrounding areas to join this challenge. We only have a limited number of give-a-ways each week. We beg you, we plead with you! Only sign up if you live close enough to Lancaster county to claim your prize. These businesses were very gracious to offer these prizes and we would like to honor them.
Each person who registers will have the option to purchase your own 5k finisher medal(s). This year for our medals we are highlighting the local three towns of Intercourse, Blue Ball and Paradise and combining our obvious love for Whoopie Pies. The three unique medals will snap together to form a Lancaster County Whoopie Pie that will be quite the conversation piece. ;-)
