Dixie & Riverbluff Triathlons Canceled

July 8, 2020 - It's been a trying and emotional couple of weeks for us as we've been actively working to deliver safe and fun races this summer within guidelines set forth by the state. Two weeks ago we received all permit approvals for both our Riverbluff and Dixie Triathlons, taking place on August 8 and September 12, respectively. Unfortunately, just a few days later, the State of Tennessee extended their state of emergency order through late August forcing us to reexamine our safe return to racing plan and look to see how we might be able to modify our plans once again to still deliver races. We have had numerous discussions with local and state officials, our key sponsors, and other local race production companies to determine the best path forward and we have determined that we are unable to deliver our Riverbluff Triathlon and Dixie Triathlon under the current state of emergency order and uncertainty beyond.

We can assure you that this decision does not come lightly as we worked tirelessly to make these races happen and not have them suffer the same fate that all of our previous 2020 events have already suffered. But despite the fact that we had tremendously high expectations for this year - with the roll out of a Moab Tri Camp, adding a half distance race to Riverbluff, adding USAT Regional Chps designations to races we operate, and more - we are still extremely excited about the future and can already tell you that some BIG things are already in the works. We encourage you to hang with us and keep living the multisport life as next year will be extra special. We promise!

To those that have registered for Riverbluff and/or Dixie, we will be communicating with you separately with next steps. Please bear with us as we work through this, but rest assured that communication is coming soon and that we're here to assist you if you have any questions.

Thank you all so much for you support! 2020 might be a lost year for us, but we know there are other amazing local race companies around the southeast still able to deliver races and we strongly suggest you check them out and support them. Some, in particular, are Team Magic, Race Day Events, Dirty Bird Events,Personal Best Racing, PR Event Management and Kentuckiana Race Management.

Sincerely,
Joe Fleenor
