Timing & Rules
12 hour runners will have the hours of 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM to run as many laps of the 3.75ish mile loop around Cooper River Park as you want. Partial laps will not be counted, no new laps will be allowed to start as of 6:30 PM, and all loops MUST be completed by 7:00 PM for mileage to count. This rule requires some level of strategizing for the runners.
24 hour runners will have 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM to run as many laps as they want. No new laps will be allowed to start after 6:30 AM, and runners must complete their final loop by 6:59 AM for it to be counted.
100 Mile runners have a hard 30 hour cutoff at 1:00 PM Sunday. You must complete 21 laps (78.75 miles) by 7am to be allowed to continue. To be a finisher you must complete 27 loops of the course. You are NOT counted as a finisher unless you cross the finish line for your 27th lap.
Relay teams follow all the above rules. Each runner must run at least one lap in the race, but beyond that you may split up your day however you prefer. One runner can run for a few hours, or you can alternate laps. Pick your own adventure. Relay teams are allowed to, and encourage to, run the last lap of the race together.
