Join us on Facebook (@fosteradoptconnect) on Saturday, May 16! Let's gather virtually to celebrate National Foster Care Month.
9:10am - Let the festivities begin! See who will win the race between Sock and Undie
9:20am - Livestream PE class for kids (and adults!) with David Muhammad (martial arts instructor with Integrity Martial Arts Academy)
10:00am - Livestream High-Intensity Interval Training workout with Kri Chay (coach with Urban Hiit Fitt)
Don't miss a special message from some of our favorite cheerleaders and Sock and Undie after the workouts!
Celebrate National Foster Care Month by participating in the Sock & Undie Rundie!
This 5K run/walk raises awareness of the tangible needs of kids in foster care. FosterAdopt Connect distributes food, clothing, hygiene supplies, and other necessities to foster and adoptive families through Sammy's Window. One of the biggest needs is new socks and underwear for foster youth, who often come into care with only the clothing they're wearing.
Be an everyday superhero by signing up for this virtual race today. Then run or walk 3.1 miles from anywhere (e.g. your treadmill or favorite trail) between May 9 - May 16. Your race day swag will be sent directly to your home, including a t-shirt and finisher medal.
And don’t forget a costume! We encourage you to dress up to help raise awareness: wear your most dashing superhero disguise or sport your undies (family-friendly!) and post a picture with #undierundiekc to participate in the costume contest.
Proceeds benefit FosterAdopt Connect. Learn more at fosteradopt.org.
Would you like to donate new socks or underwear to kids in foster care? Check out our Sammy's Window Amazon wishlist for suggestions!
