Join us as we race against violence and abuse in teen and adult intimate partner relationships! This race is virtual and can be completed anytime between February 1 - March 15th wherever you choose! On a treadmill, outdoors, with friends, it's up to you!
For almost 45 years, L.I. Against Domestic Violence (LIADV)has been a beacon of hope for those suffering from all forms of abuse at the hands of an intimate partner in Suffolk County. Through a wide range of services, including our Safe Harbor Shelter, 24 hour hotline, Court and Precinct Advocacy Services, Counseling and Vocational Services, LIADV supports survivors in exploring their options and embarking on the path to a life free from abuse. Each year, LIADV serves over 9,000 adults, teens and children right here in Suffolk County.
February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month and we need your help! One in three teens report experiencing some form of abuse from a dating partner. Join us as we run to raise awareness of the issue and raise funds to help us in continuing on with our mission to provide prevention, support and healing to all of our neighbors in our own communities. Now more than ever, we need your support. The COVID-19 crisis has resulted in tremendous budget cuts for non profit organizations and we are facing a crisis like we have not seen in many, many years.
Please join us from February 1st - March 15th for a 5k or 10k run/walk to raise awareness and funds so that no hotline call goes unanswered, no survivor has to navigate the court process alone and no one in need of immediate counseling services has to wait months before being seen by a counselor. You can make a difference!
