Turkey Trot Training Challenge

We are back for our 12th Annual Turkey Trot Training Challenge and we can not wait to get started!

Kicking off Tuesday, September 26th, the Turkey Trot Training Challenge is a 10-week program designed to get Capital Region runners ready to participate in the Regions Turkey Trot taking place Thanksgiving morning. The program is a full running plan and is designed to train participants to complete a 5K or 10K. It is comprehensive, including injury-prevention, nutritional, strength and flexibility elements.

We are teaming up with the team at Choice Physical Therapy in Troy (www.choiceptny.com) to bring an exceptional training experience. Included in this years training will be a Runner's Strength & Conditioning seminar as well as a Movement and Mobility seminar to kick off the season. More to come on those dates and details!! 

Group runs will be held Tuesday evenings at 6pm and Sunday mornings at 8am, with an optional third training day during the week. We will be starting with a dynamic warm-up 5 minutes prior to the start time. 

We look forward to seeing you for our first in-person training session for Week 2 Workouts on TUESDAY 9/26 @ 5:50pm at the HVCC track. Reminder, registration closes 10/4/23 for any of your friends or family members who may want to join.
