Currently about 200 children and 120 parents have registered. The FitKidz event is a program of the Southern Arizona Roadrunners, with a volunteer Board of Directors who will be managing the race night activities. Details can be found here: https://runsar.org/fitkidz-racing-series/

 

As a reminder, all children will receive a FITKIDZ race number that enables them to receive an official finishing time with a finish line video. Parents will not receive a bib number, will not receive a finishing time, and do NOT need to check in. 

 

Packet Pickup: You can pick up your children's race packet at three separate times in the coming days.

 

Thursday and Friday, at Running Shop (3055 North Campbell Ave) 

4:00pm - 6:00pm pre-race packet pickup 

• At the registration tent outside the Running Shop, volunteers will provide FitKidz bib numbers for all children 12-and-under so that they can get an official mile time on race night. Safety pins will be available.
• Adults who registered as a "FitKidz Parent" do NOT receive a number and do not need to check in.
• Those who registered for the 5k or Triple Crown can also pick up their number and race items.

Saturday Night at the North Lawn of the Children's Museum (200 South Sixth Avenue, 12th Street and Sixth Avenue)

5:00pm - 6:00 pm at FitKidz registration tent adjacent to the SAR tent and near the BEYOND and Run Tucson tents

• All FitKidz registrations can go to the FitKidz tent to receive a race number for the child with any FitKidz goodies available.
• We will provide chipped FitKidz bib numbers for all children so that they can get an official mile time. Safety pins will be available.
• Adults who registered as a "FitKidz Parent" do NOT receive a number and do not need to check in.
• Those who registered for the 5k or Triple Crown can pick up their number and race items at the Run Tucson registration tents.

 

6:20pm: Make way to starting line for 6:30 start. Be sure that the FITKIDZ number is on the front of the shirt.

 

6:30 pm: Start of FitKidz Mile, with kids and adults who will accompany them. Raising Cane's and SAR will be at the finish line with goodies.

• All FitKidz children with a chipped race number will get an official mile time, while all adults accompanying them will have no official number or race time.

 

6:45pm - 7:00 pm: All FitKidz can go to the FitKiz tent for a free eegee's (children only)
