Frequently Asked Questions
Are dogs allowed? Yes, dogs are allowed on leash, both for spectators and on the course! As always, please bring bags and pick up after your dog.
Are wheelchairs or strollers allowed on the course? No. Due to the steepness of the hills, no strollers or wheelchairs will be allowed on the course.
Is there a time limit to complete the race? Yes, the time limit for both walkers and runners is 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Will this event take place rain or shine? Yes. Unless the weather is so severe that it makes traveling to our location or running on the paths unsafe, the race will take place. If we do have to cancel, all entries will be switched to the virtual event.
I missed the online sign-up deadline. Can I still participate? Yes, you can still participate! Sign up either during packet pick-up on Wednesday, November 23, from 6-7:30pm here at Silver Creek Golf Club, or on race day between 7:30 and 8:30am.
What happens if I have to cancel or the race gets canceled? Above all else, we are striving to make this event as safe as it can possibly be for all our participants, volunteers, and staff. If you’re feeling unwell (or uncomfortable participating), we want you to be able to stay home and stay safe without feeling like you’re losing out. In order to make that happen, we are offering flexible options so participants can make responsible decisions based on their health.
Here are our options for registered participants who can’t make it to the race:
TRANSFER TO ANOTHER PARTICIPANT: You can transfer your registration to another participant for a $10 fee before November 22nd at midnight. After that date, you can switch your registration to the virtual event.
SWITCH REGISTRATION FROM IN-PERSON TO VIRTUAL: You can transfer your in-person registration to a virtual registration for free at any point before the race.
REFUNDS: Due to the expenses we are incurring this close to the race, we are unfortunately unable to give refunds.
CANCELLATION: If we have to cancel the event for any reason, all ‘in person’ event registrations will automatically be converted to the virtual event.
