1.Position ahead of the lead runners/walkers while following the course marked by safety cones and directional signs
2.Guiding runners: Keep participants on track, especially in areas where the path might be unclear or where there are sharp turns
3.Finish line support: Once the lead runner crosses the finish line, the bike continues a second lap to locate the last runner, then radios the Race Director the finish location so all volunteers, and EMTs can end their shifts
