Assist with setting up the main site of the race. You may be helping to move and erect pop-up tents, set tables and chairs, signage set up for sponsors, decorate with bunting or pennants, placing sponsor signs down the entrance to Driskell Park, hang larger banners and feather banners on Hamilton, ensure all tents are labeled and ready for sponsors. Aiming to set up the day before the race so on 10/4/24.

Details

These positions are the most important race day volunteer position as you keep the race track safe for the runners.

Job description: You work with cars either letting them through checkpoints until race time or holding them until the race is over. You will also help to redirect them to ways around the site. Great communication skills are necessary.

More details: We will also hold a short training session prior to race day usually the weekend prior to race day. Attendance at the training session is not a requirement to volunteer as a course marshal just a chance to ask more detailed questions in a group setting.

Help with set up or break down. Specific jobs will be assigned as needed on race day, but may include helping with on site race registration, distributing race packets, t-shirts, handing out finisher medals, hanging signs, handing out noisemakers in the Zombie Zone, or staffing tents (included but not limited HES PTA tent or runner refreshment tent). Please indicate if you have a specific place you would like to be placed at or if you are up for whatever is needed!
