What is the overall fundraising goal for the ASCV 5K & Family Fun Day, and how is it reached?

Our goal is to raise $180,000 for the event, in honor of our 18th anniversary event.  This is reached through fundraising dollars collected by our participants, general donations, sponsorship, and registration fees.

Is there a required amount that participants must fundraise to participate?

While there is no minimum fundraising amount to participate we hope you will consider asking your friends, family, and colleagues to contribute. The 5K & Family Fun Day is an opportunity to raise autism awareness, community support, and funds for the ASCV.

Are donations raised in support of my participation tax-deductible for the donors?

Yes, as long as they’re donations made directly to your fundraising page or via checks made out to the “Autism Society Central Virginia” they are tax-deductible.  Donors will receive a tax acknowledgement letter from the ASCV via email from RunSignUp or mail.

Can matching gifts be applied to my fundraising total?

Yes, we will apply matching gifts to your fundraising total as soon as we have the official paperwork and it is approved by your company.

I have offline donations (cash or check) that I would like to enter. How do I do that?

Mail checks to our ASCV office: ASCV 200 S 3rd Street, Richmond, VA 23219. Please do not mail cash; reach out to to arrange delivery, or bring it with you to packet pick-up day on May 15th at Stony Point Fashion Park. Upon receipt of your cash or check donation, the ASCV will process them and add them to your fundraising page.

How do I edit my fundraising page and fundraising goal?

To edit your page and goal, log in to your account, go to your profile, click “Manage Registration,” then click “Fundraiser” from the top menu.  It will bring you to where you can edit the content & pictures of your fundraising page, and set or change your fundraising goal.

How do I find the URL to my fundraising page?

To find your page URL, log in to your account, go to your profile, click “Manage Registration,” then click “Links/Sharing” from the top menu.  It will bring you to a page showing your fundraising URL.
