KILIMANJARO TRAILS FESTIVAL

The 6-hour ultra marathon is sure to become a crowd favorite | a short-course lap event, in which the furthest distance traveled in 6 hours wins | 1 feed zone each lap | solo and relay* categories

No limit to number of solo or relay teams

*Relay categories: 3 runners per team if all between 15 and 55 | 4th runner permitted if any member under 15 or over 55 | 6 runners per team if all members under 15 or over 55 | no single runner may run 2 laps in a row, but otherwise any order of runners is permitted

The Kili Trails Half Marathon is a 21 kilometer loop run on West Kilimanjaro Forest single track | approximately 620 meters climbing and some incredible old growth forest running | 2 basic feed zones and one hydration point on course

Limited to 120 runners

The Forest Trails Run primarily takes place in West Kilimanjaro Forest, and is a great event for both runners and walkers | approximately 230 meters climbing | no water or feed zones on course

Limited to 160 runners

A 5-6 kilometer loop run entirely on Simba Farm property | 100 meters climbing | no feed zones | walkers welcome, suitable for most ages

Limited to 260 runners

A(n approximately) 1.5 kilometer loop run entirely within view of the race village -- for ages 12 & under (older children and parents / adults are welcome to join without registration or race numbers)

Race numbers / finisher medals limited to ages 12 & under, 260 runners

There will be no podium prizes for this event, only finisher medals

FREE, but does require registration

2-day volleyball tournament for charity -- up to 6 players on the court at a time (unlimited on team) -- service rotation required -- 100% of entry fees will fund Arusha youth sports development

Only one member of your team will register for the volleyball tournament. Teammates' names will be added during the registration process.

Our new for 2024 Cross-Country Marathon course will be a 65-85 kilometer loop into Enduimet Wildlife Management Area and back, animals aplenty | approximately 1200 meters of climbing | LE MANS start!!! | 2 feed zones on course | this is a race for EXPERIENCED cyclists only, and riders should be self-sufficient with bikes in excellent working condition | we WILL enforce time cutoffs on course in 2024

Last year’s XC was a shortened version of our Enduimet XCM, called the Elerai XC. It took cyclists from Simba Farm to the border between Elerai Village and the Enduimet Wildlife Management Area | details coming soon regarding the 2024 XC event | combination of singletrack and doubletrack roads, with just enough technical to be a "true" MTB experience | this event is designed for cyclists with good endurance, who want to get out and see the area, but without spending all day on a bike | course profile and feed zone information coming soon

Limited to 100 cyclists

Our version of the Cross-Country Olympic event is 2 laps of approximately 9 kilometers, alternating between West Kilimanjaro Forest single track and Simba Farm property | total climbing 470 meters over 20 kilometers | no feed zones, but racer’s personal bags available upon completion of the first lap

Limited to 60 cyclists

The Mini Cross-Country Olympic event is a single loop of the XCO course | approximately 235 meters climbing over the 10 kilometer loop into West Kilimanjaro Forest | no feed zones | this course is terrific for very determined beginners

The most exciting race of the weekend, our Cross-Country Short Course is 4 high speed laps on a 1.5 kilometer loop entirely within view of the race village | this crowd-pleasing 6 kilometer event is all about top end speed, bike handling, and max heart rates | this event may be run in heats
