Road Closure Information

The City of Lafayette will be closing streets for the Lafayette Reservoir Run, Sunday, October 20, 2024.  6am-11am.

The City of Lafayette will be closing streets for the Lafayette Reservoir Run, Sunday, October 20, 2024.   The Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring the event.    The roads the course is run on will be closed from 6:00am to 11:00am (may vary depending on conditions) on Sunday, October 20, 2024.

The Course runs on Mt. Diablo Blvd. between Moraga Road and Lafayette Reservoir.  Mt. Diablo East Bound will be closed at Paulson Court (Oakwood Athletic Club will be accessible) to Moraga Road.   Mt. Diablo West bound will closed at Moraga Road to Paulson Court. One lane on Mt. Diablo’s North side between Happy Valley Road and El Nido Ranch Road will be open West bound for local traffic with minimal delays.  One lane on Mt. Diablo’s South side will be open East bound from Village Center to Mt. View Rd. for local traffic with minimal delay’s during peak periods of race traffic.  
 
You will not be allowed to cross over Mt. Diablo must use coned detour lanes.

Mt. Diablo Blvd. Road Closure

 

Mt. Diablo Blvd. from Moraga Rd. on the East End - to Paulson Ave., on the West End will be closed beginning at 6:00am thru 11:30am on Sunday, October 20, 2024. One lane for westbound traffic will stay open between Happy Valley Rd. and El Nido Rd. and one lane for eastbound traffic between Village Center and Mountain View.  


Detours will be set up between 1st Street and Happy Valley Rd. on the north side of 24 on Deer Hill Rd and on Moraga Rd and Mountain View on the South Side of 24 using Brook St.  


Access to our downtown remains open during the race using the detours. There will be no access to the Reservoir from 7:00am – 11:00am. No in or out exceptions.
