If you would like to run in honor of Star Logan, you will select his team when registering and your team neck gaiter color is MAROON. Here's Logan's story:

Logan was born a very happy and calm baby on February 24, 2017. He has always been very smiley and we often get asked, "Is he always this happy?" In mid-January 2018, Logan suddenly started tilting his head to the right (torticollis) and he started physical therapy for it. Then in mid-February, he started throwing up in the morning. After 10 days of vomiting once a day, we took him to the er where they found a mass on his brain. On February 22, 2018, 2 days before his first birthday, he was admitted to Children's Hospital into the PICU. We celebrated his first birthday in PICU at Children's and then he underwent 12-hour brain surgery on February 26th to remove the tumor that was located in the posterior fossa (4th ventricle and wrapped up along his brain stem).

His neurosurgeon was amazing and with a lot of help from God, he was able to remove the entire tumor. Pathology came back as an Anaplastic Ependymoma grade 3, so Logan had 30 rounds of Proton Radiation in Cincinnati.

Logan continues to have scans every 3-4 months. The tumor/surgery left Logan with physical deficits and a hearing loss in his left ear. He works hard in physical therapy and has done great with his hearing aid! He is an amazing fighter and continues to smile and make those around him smile.
