TRAIN FOR GLORY
Train with Us, Sunday, 3 pm
Golden Journey Begins
The "Sofa to Screenland 5K" training program is a welcoming community where safety, support and success is everyone's finish line. Running coach David Winslow, personal trainer Craig Schoenbaum, marathon mentor Hamid Rostamian and Olympic Gold Medalist Lashinda Demus lead complimentary Sunday training sessions, 3:00 p.m., at Culver City High School Olympic track. These one-hour sessions, perfect for newcomers or those returning to exercise, will help you complete your 3.1-mile adventure through cinematic wonder on Oscar Sunday, March 2 in good health. "As a flat, fun, and family-oriented hometown event around the studios, the Screenland 5K is an easy entry to an active lifestyle. Our sessions develop camaraderie and great health. We're not here to set world records," said Winslow. Next workshop is Jan. 19.
Training sessions are sponsored by Midwest Roofing.
